Personal Statement

Cinematography is not only a skill but also a passion; it is a great creative outlet, which is challenging but more important than that it is highly gratifying whether working on personal briefs or professional. Being interested in photography, cameras and lighting has meant design and cinematography have always been of the utmost interest. An ND in Graphic Design helped further skills and critical knowledge, which enthused and guided me towards moving image. Having worked extensively with green screen, track and dolly, crane arms, stedicam and similar systems during my degree has lead to a level of proficiency in using most film related equipment. My personal area of interest lies within camera operation, technical skills and equipment knowledge. I have good patience, attention to detail and have the ability to work under direction. The idea of working in an ever-changing industry with constant progression, which needs continued professional development is one, which would lead to great personal gratification.
Visual Effects are also a passion of mine, i enjoy the process of taking raw footage and using it along with other pre-composed pieces of work whether it be CG or other elements to create something which is highly visually exciting. I am used to colour grading seen as i work with my own camera which is a 550d/Rebel T2i.
